New PhD student in the LION group

Anna joined our group mid-april to start her PhD thesis work on acoustic measurements of the energy deposition of heavy ions in water at 4 degree Celsius at the GSI’s heavy ion synchrotron SIS18. The work is supported via a three-year collaborative R&D project between LMU and GSI, building on complementary expertise and high end scientific tools of both partners.
